After Liturgy, Sunday September 12th (the first day of Sunday School), there will be a brief meeting for parents. We will discuss our plans, goals and some new ideas for the upcoming year. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and support this important ministry for the spiritual formation of our children in the Orthodox Faith.

Parents, please attend the parents’ meeting on September 8th, 7PM, here at Holy Cross, to sign up your teens for our pan-Orthodox Teen Group. We will review last year, discuss some new activities/ideas, fill out the snack schedule, etc. The meeting should not be more than an hour -- all parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Our goal is to strengthen our kids socially, intellectually and spiritually in their Orthodox Christian Faith. The first meeting will be here at Holy Cross on Sunday, September 12th. All meetings will be from 5 to 6:30 PM.

Our next meeting to discuss St Ignatius Brianchaninov’s The Arena will be on Monday, September 20th, at 7PM, here at Holy Cross. Please e-mail Fr Calinic with suggestions for next month’s book.

Starting in October, Father Calinic will offer a class in the theological meaning of the Divine Liturgy. The class will cover some history too, but will focus on the theological meaning of church architecture, the traditions associated with Orthodox worship, and the Biblical and apostolic foundations of the Divine Liturgy. All are welcome.

It’s fall and this means Pumpkin Rolls! If you can come to one of the sessions, all help is needed and greatly appreciated – not only making the pumpkin rolls, but selling them. Order sheets will be available in the reception area. Please consider taking one order form to work and selling a batch. This is the most essential fundraiser of the year for Ladies’ Aid. We will meet on Wednesday mornings at 9 AM, starting September 23rd for 10 weeks.
