HOLY THEOPHANY & HOME BLESSINGSGreat Vespers for Theophany will be Thursday, January 5th, at 7 PM, and Divine Liturgy with the blessing of waters on Friday, January 6 at 9 AM. Home blessings will take place this year from Wed, Jan 11 to Sat, Jan 14. There will be a sign-up sheet in the entrance way.
PAN-ORTHODOX THEOPHANY BLESSING OF WATERSOur first annual
Pan-Orthodox Great Blessing of Waters will take place at 1 PM on Sunday, January 22nd, at the Shenango River, downtown Sharon. Parking is available at the location (the Huntington Bank lot, directly behind the diner on State Street). All are encouraged to attend this new annual event, meant to bring God’s blessing and presence to our community.
LADIES AID CHRISTMAS DINNERAll are invited! The Annual Ladies’ Aid Dinner will be Sunday, January 8th, at the Montana Restaurant. Please see Carol Murrin for reservations.
ST JOHN’S BANQUETSt John’s Banquet will be held Sunday, January 15th, immediately following the Divine Liturgy. One of the best meals of the year! If you can help prepare, please see Rick Roman.
PAN-ORTHODOX TEEN GROUPOur Teen Group will begin its meetings for the Spring on Sunday,
January 22nd with a special lunch at Holy Cross, after Liturgy. We will then go together to the pan-Orthodox Theophany service. All other meetings are 5PM-6:30PM, every other Sunday. Please see the schedule on the calendar and

ANNUAL PARISH SYNOD MEETINGThe most important meeting of the year will be held Sunday, January 29th. Please attend and contribute to our community self-assessment of the activities, vision and mission of Holy Cross. Parish Council members and delegates to the Episcopate Congress will be elected. Breakfast will be provided. The meeting will be well-organized and not last for more than an hour. A reminder: only members in good standing can vote at the Synod. Also, a call to all officers: please begin preparing your typed reports for the Synod meeting. Please submit the reports to the parish office by Wednesday, January 25th.

PAN-ORTHODOX LENTEN RETREAT: SATURDAY, MARCH 10th Mark your calendar for this year's Shenango Valley Pan-Orthodox Lenten Retreat, which will be held on Saturday, March 10, from 9 AM to noon, here at Holy Cross. Our speaker will be Father Maximos (Constas), a monk of Simonas Petras Monastery on Mount Athos, former professor of theology at Harvard University and currently teaching at Holy Cross in Boston.
